Parrot Glo™ (12oz. jar) is the key to glowing feathers! It is a premium palm red oil obtained by cold pressing the fruit of the dende palm. Parrot Glo™ is 100% virgin palm oil and contains no additional ingredients or preservatives. It provides a number of essential fatty acids including omega 3 and omega 6. Palm oil is familiar to birds in the wild as many use palm fruit as a large part of their diet. Parrots (hookbills) particularly benefit from eating Parrot Glo™ palm oil. Parrot Glo™ palm oil helps put sheen into dull feathers and improves dry flaky skin and balding feet. Serve 2-3 times a week maximum in most cases. Hyacinths should have Parrot Glo™ daily. My vet recommends .1 ml/300 grams of bird.
Parrot Glo™ is a soft solid to liquid at room temperature. You could serve Parrot Glo™ different ways - either warm the jar in water at about 80-85 degrees F until the oil liquefies, then mix with regular foods OR serve a cold/solid chunk that can be picked up to eat.
Parrot Glo™ comes from small scale sustainable family farms in West Africa not from large corporate plantations.
NOTE: Depending upon what your entire order is, this product may need to ship separate in order to NOT crush the Big Foot Foodie!

Everything we produce is fresh, hand washed and cut. ALL BFF products are processed in our private shop! We NEVER repackage from other sources.
This food is delivered in large chunks that can easily be cut or broken smaller as needed. Big Foot Foodie™ is suitable for all hook-bills from the smallest parakeet up to the largest macaw. Even your little canaries and finches will benefit and enjoy the very fine crumbs.
Freeze-dried foods are the next best thing to fresh and way more convenient. The freeze-dried process locks in and holds its nutrition unlike the other preserving methods available.
Custom orders are welcome, time permitting! NEW PRODUCTS are frequently added!
It is natural to have some amount of crumbs or smaller pieces at the bottom of wherever you are storing our freeze-dried products. This is due to its brittle nature. It should not be wasted. Be sure to use any tiny crumbs that you may have. The nutrition is still there. You can sprinkle this on any of their other foods or feed to your little canaries and finches.
