This is made with 1 lb. of pure, raw, almond nuts and loaded with kale! REFRIGERATE upon arrival. This can also be frozen. It would be very cute to press the butter into those silicone molds and freeze in portion sizes!
NOTE: Depending upon your flock size you may want to freeze this in appropriately sized portions to extend its life. Remember that there are NO preservatives and kale is a fresh product. I go through my own batch within 2 weeks.
Though I give kale daily to my parrots they don't always eat it. I continue to give, as I advise, because they can't change their minds if it is not offered. HOWEVER, they LOVE this almond butter!!! The natural calcium is important for our parrots, especially if you have females who may surprise you with eggs or dusty birds like Cockatoos and African Greys.
Almond Butter is a convenient way to include other supplements, as desired - just mix them in.
I recommend offering them, by hand, a pea sized piece once or twice to get them to try it. After that I offer about a teaspoon in their morning meal, daily. Works like a charm! At my house I feed fresh in the morning with supplements and almond butter. Pellets, BFF and nuts are served at dinner.
Currently I am delivering this in a Ziploc Twist 'n Loc type container which will be very handy to re-use for many other things.
NOTE: Depending upon what your entire order is, this product may need to ship separate in order to NOT crush the Big Foot Foodie! This may or may not incur extra shipping costs.
