THIS IS NOT A SHORT-CUT TO TREATING ANYTHING WITH YOUR
BIRD. YOU MUST HAVE DIET AND ENRICHMENT ON POINT. YOU MUST TAKE
PROPER VETERINARIAN CARE!!! THERE ARE *** NO SHORT-CUTS WITH BIRDS ***
I have attempted to include high level information. This is
in NO way complete or enough information for your decision making.
I highly recommend READING about the intent and use of Bach
Flower Remedies AND making a treatment plan for yourself so that you fully
understand and experience how they work. This will assist your
effectiveness in treating your bird. It is important to be
patient, persistent, consistent and objective. Bach Flower
Remedies work on the mental and emotional aspects of the bird. Improvement
can often be seen quickly or it can take time. The fewer you use, the more
focused the effect. Develop a treatment strategy using no more than 3-6
flowers. Work with the most important issue first. You can address
other issues, if needed, in the future.
A note on PROJECTION
& MIRRORING: You want to be very careful to be
OBJECTIVE in your observation and conclusions with your bird as you would be
with any living being you are caring for. You do NOT want to project your
own personality, characteristics, feelings, thoughts, and moods onto
them. Doing so would obscure the true nature of the bird's behavior and
cause a misdirected Bach Flower Remedy plan. Be self-aware and
reflective. It is possible that the bird is mirroring your own behaviors,
in some way, depending upon the issues. This would suggest you may benefit
from a similar Bach plan.

"The original Bach Flower Remedies is a safe and natural
method of healing discovered by Dr. Bach from 1920 – 1930’s in England. They
gently restore the balance between mind and body by casting out negative
emotions such as fear, worry, hatred and indecision which interfere with the
equilibrium of the being as a whole. The Bach Flower Remedies allow peace and
happiness to return to the sufferer so that the body is free to heal
itself. The Bach Flower Remedies are made from wild flowers and are safe
for the whole family including pets."
YOU MUST DILUTE THESE REMEDIES FOR BIRDS (EXCEPT the PET RESCUE
REMEDY)!
The remedies are preserved in grape based brandy and are gluten
free. As per Clinical Avian Medicine, Vol.
1 (Harrison-Lightfoot), because of the alcohol, these remedies should be
diluted in spring water before they are administered to birds at the rate of
10-12 drops per ounce of water. If you are making enough to store add 1 t.
apple cider vinegar to this dilution and/or keep it refrigerated.
As per Holistic Care For Birds (McCluggage,
DVM-Higdon), the quantity of each dose is not important for effectiveness so,
swallowing one diluted drop is roughly the same as drinking the entire
bottle. Although quantity does not matter, how often you dose your bird
does. For long standing problems, if the problem is not acute, dose your bird
2-3 times daily. During acute times of stress or when problems are severe,
dose every hour or even every few minutes in the most extreme cases. You
can add it to their water bottle, spray it on their food or administer directly
in the bird's mouth.
